Junior Women's Club
of Cedar Grove

About

The Junior Women’s Club of Cedar Grove is an all volunteer, non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 1946 and currently has over 25 members. Our club is made up of women aged 18 to 40-something. We offer our members opportunities for leadership, growth and friendship. Joining our club is a terrific way to make new friends within the club, meet new people outside of the club and get involved in your town!

We organize a number of events and services for our town such as Storytime with the Easter Bunny, Shades of Pink Breast Cancer Fund Raiser, Spa Night, Breakfast with Santa, 4th and 5th Grade Spelling Bee, Mother’s Market, Bingo Night, and Caroling, Valentine's Day and Trick-or-Treating at the local nursing home. We also participate in Adopt-A-Family, Clean Sweep, Teacher Appreciation Week, a $750 High School Scholarship and Soldier Donations.

The Juniors also raise money for our local organizations. We donate funds annually to our firehouses, schools, rescue squad and the public library.  Additionally, we donate to the Girl’s Career Institute, UNICEF, the Eddie Gray Camp Fund and over the years we have made numerous donations to other organizations and township families in need.

The Juniors Club holds many social events throughout the year. Our Holiday Dinner, Cookie Swap, Installation Dinner and Girls Nights Out are a fun way to really get to know one another.

The Junior Women’s Club of Cedar Grove is a member of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs (NJSFWC) – Junior Membership, which is one of the largest volunteer women’s organizations in New Jersey.  It has been in existence since 1894 and has over 40 clubs throughout the state.

General business meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month, September through June in a member’s home.
